StarTrek Frontier Fleet is an E-Mail Roleplaying Game set in the Star Trek Universe in the year 2390 (post Voyager).

The USS Voyager has returned home and with the valuable data collected Starfleet has managed to built an experimental transwarp drive. Not all our ships are equipped with it, but our mission still is to expand the United Federation of Planet's territority by means of exploration.

Players create characters based upon the races and species found in the Star Trek Universe. These character's, after training at the Starfleet Academy, are assigned to a Duty Station on a Starship or Starbase.

Some example Duty Stations are: Chief Engineer, First Officer, Tactical/Security Chief and Counselor.

All members of StarTrek Frontier Fleet interact with each other and follow a general plot line, throwing in their own input and ideas in the form of 'Posts'.

A 'Post' describes the Actions of the Player Character in the game, all the posts for a particular Starship/Starbase are optionally compiled by a player of that Starship/Starbase and are then distributed via E-Mail to a special mailinglist. If you do not want to receive compiles then there is no need to.

Depending upon the content of the compiled posts and the actions of other characters, the player then writes another post in reply and then so on until the current mission is complete. Then another mission begins.....

All players start with the rank of Cadet and upon completion of a Training Scenario at the Starfleet Academy are then promoted to Ensign. Further promotions, up to and including the rank of Captain are dependent upon the frequency and quality of the posts written by the player.

Every time a player is promoted, his/her character is given more 'in game' responsibilities, for example, a player whose character has been promoted to the Rank of Captain, will be given his/her own Starship/Starbase to run, along with all the other players and responsibilites that comes with the command.

All players must complete an Academy Training Scenario before being posted to a Live Duty Station. This is to ensure that all players are familiar with the correct posting format, plotlines and other game rules and elements. You can spend anything from 1 day to 1 month in the Academy, depending on the frequency and quality of your posts.

Last but not least I like to mention that we are not going to say we are the best as many other PBeM's are doing. We'll leave it up to you to decide upon that, but remember, our game is 'for players, by players'.

Make each day count, join today!!
